Equally unforgettable are the Steamed Fish with Ginger Green Onion and Ginger and Green Onion Steamed Fish, dishes praised for their delicate, melt-in-your-mouth texture and the bright, aromatic ginger and scallion accents that elevate every bite.

For noodle lovers, Duk Kee’s selection from their 粉麵類 (fried noodles and look fun) is a treasure trove of savory satisfaction. The Singapore Rice Noodles features a fragrant curry powder-infused rice noodle with succulent char siu pork and shrimp, delivering complex layers of spice, sweetness, and umami. Meanwhile, the Soft Won Ton Mein, with its pork and shrimp-filled wontons bathed in a rich, savory broth, comforts like a warm embrace on a cool day.

IMHO, the owners of any restaurant could change but it’s the food quality, the food taste, the over-all cleanliness and sanitation of the entire restaurant and the perceived good value for your buck that matters. IMHO, Duk Kee Chinese Restaurant is the best Cantonese Chinese restaurant in Kaimuki, BETTER now than before with a new HAPPIER and more efficient generation of younger chefs, younger women cashiers/waitresses and workers. The food is still very delicious, their prices have NOT spiked up and everyone is active, well-trained, smart, cheerful, alert, fast and responsible. And, that 1 old, grumpy waitress from before is now retired and gone. Yay! Happy Holidays! Merry Christmas!

I literally dream about the steamed fish, and have to order it immediately! It’s simple, but full of flavor, and the fish just melts in your mouth! Anytime I have visitors, I take them here! I love this place!

I went to Duk Kee for lunch with a coworker on a busy Thursday. We didn't realize it when we decided to order in person. I had the sea bass with choy sum and a side of rice. My coworker ordered the lunch special. I liked my meal and was able to split it into two lunches. My coworker enjoyed his lunch special. All in all, I had no issues with my food, my order, or the service. The price was a little costly. The restaurant's interior looked like every other local Chinese restaurant, and nothing special stood out.

Wife and I are back in Honolulu visiting family and friends, after moving to Boston seven years ago. We moved to help our daughter babysit her two boys. We stopped by at Duk Hee Chinese Restaurant as I heard that the Golden Duck owner took over the restaurant. My parents were the King Fong Chop Suey (Duk Hee now) and Kinney Chop Suey (Kapahulu) owners in the 1950s - 1980s. When they retired in early 1980s, they sold our second restaurant to the old Duk Hee owners. I found the wor won ton and wor gau gee soup to be very good and tasty. Wife ate some of the beef broccoli on the plate lunch before I took the picture. The taste and portions were good also, price was fair and reasonable. One of my uncle’s owned the old Red Rooster Chop Suey and later started Golden Duck, and then retired and sold it. I ate there twice this week, and the current cooks are very good and the waitress staff are nice! Highly recommend!

I’ve been looking everywhere for a good wonton soup and this place absolutely nails it. So delicious and very generous portions!! We also got the roasted duck and spring rolls, all ten out of ten, would HIGHLY recommend.
